Derwent Park Caravan Site

Derwent Park Caravan Site

To help you to decide where to go on your Campervan trip, we are giving you insider information on some of our favourite sites.

This is a small, very friendly, family run park in the beautiful valley of The River Derwent that I’ve been visiting since I was a kid. Set in the heart of the Derwent Valley, the Derwent Park Caravan site offers holidaymakers the chance to relax in this lovely peaceful area of North East England. This location also provides the perfect starting point for trips to the many excellent nature, leisure and recreation facilities the area has to offer.

Facilities

The site offers crazy golf, very good toilet, shower and kitchen type facilities. The shop has an exceptional ice cream selection and with a chip shop at the top of the street, what more could you want?

Things to do

The Fantastic Metro Centre shopping centre is about 4.5m away and Newcastle City Centre is 8.5 miles away. The National Trusts amazing Gibside Hall is right next door with many more local landmarks and attractions within a few miles, like the spectacular Angel of The North.

Also, I was on this campsite as a child with my family when the news broke that Freddie Mercury had died, weird what you remember eh?

If you’re looking for a fun friendly site with plenty to do, Derwent Park Caravan Site is a great choice.
